In this sequence, you'll find Phi Phi Don, the island we stayed on, and Phi Phi Ley, a smaller island that served as a backdrop for the upcoming Leonardo DiCaprio film "The Beach." I don't get what you girls love about that guy; he looks just like k.d. lang. |

Phi Phi Don
This is the large island where our hotel was located, where we ate dinner every night, where we sat on the beach eating bananas most days. Oh - you could also check your Hotmail from the various Internet huts. Paradise! |

Maya Bay and Phi Phi Lei
Yes, this is The Beach (capitalized). We're hoping it won't be popularized (read: ruined) by Leonardo's movie. Considering the reviews and the fact that 14-year-old girls can't usually make overseas trips by themselves, it might remain relatively undiscovered. |
